September quite often brings new beginnings into our lives. For some it’s a new school or new class. For others it will soon be the start of university life. In church life it’s the time when leaders and volunteers get organisations & groups up and running for another year’s activities.
This week’s verse comes from Joshua. Here God gives Joshua encouragement as he is about to lead the Israelites to Canaan. It should encourage us too if we are about to start a new adventure.
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
