Team McCaw Are Looking Forward To Christmas 2017

They write:

“Christmas is here again! Where has this year gone, I hear you say! The answer is, I do not know! Time goes past so quickly and life gets a bit mad at times. It has been for us recently. We have just moved house, to another lovely home which the Lord has provided for us. We have also been getting organised for all the up-and-coming Christmas events, so we would really value your prayers, that even in the fun times, God would be glorified, and we wouldn’t get too busy!

Team McCaw are looking forward to Christmas 2017 and have several events planned which they would like you to pray for.

SUNDAY SCHOOL CHRISTMAS PARTY – 16th December 2017

SUNDAY SCHOOL CHRISTMAS SERVICE – 17th December 2017

MUMS AND YOUNG ONES CHRISTMAS PARTY – 19th December 2017

KIDS CLUB CHRISTMAS PARTY – 20th December 2017

CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT SERVICE – 24th December 2017

Update since our last letter

Since our September prayer letter, all our Hall activities have recommenced with new faces beginning and old ones returning. It is especially great to see the numbers at Mums And Young Ones doubling with 20+ parents/carers and children each week.

At our Harvest Service in October, Seaview Presbyterian Church Praise Group sang, and the Rev Mark Neilly, Minister of 1st Ahoghill Presbyterian Church, shared God’s word. We praise God that some families from the area attended and enjoyed the service.

At Halloween, we all had the opportunity to go on a Mission Trip to Romania with friends from Trinity. We went out to work with ‘Project Romania’ who evangelise, in practical ways, to the Roma Gypsy communities. The ladies of the team, and Caleb, prepared shoe boxes for the boys and girls. We completed over 1200!!! The men prepared storage areas, cleared out stores and prepared homes in the village for winter. We all did feeding programmes and had fun with the kids! What a humbling experience that we will never forget! Praise God for the wonderful opportunity!

Christmas events

A new venture this year was a ‘Christmas Fair!’ We held it on Friday 1st December from 2.00pm – 4.00pm to raise some funds for our wee hall. It was well supported and a really worth while event!

Our Summer Kids Club team are coming along to Mayo Street on Wednesday 20th December from 6.30pm – 8.00pm, for an evening of fun and games with the kids, and to share the true reason for Christmas! We really appreciate this help, and are looking forward to a lovely time together!

On Christmas Eve at 4.00pm we will be holding a Carols by Candlelight Service. Invites will be distributed nearer the time, so please pray that folks in the area will attend, and hear the gospel message this Christmas! You are ALL very welcome to come along!

Finally, we just want to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and thank you for your continued prayerful and financial support. May God Bless you and your families in 2018.”
