Rev Mel Niblock will be crossing the border for the next phase in her ministry following her appointment as Priest-in-charge of the Parishes of Fahan Upper and Fahan Lower in the Diocese of Raphoe. The appointment will take effect after the summer, with a Service of Introduction expected to be held in September.
It will be a wrench for Rev Mel to leave All Saints Clooney where she was priested by Bishop Andrew two years ago this month and where she’s built up warm relations with the congregation, under the guidance of Canon David McBeth.
Mel’s new ministry, by picturesque Lough Swilly, will entail responsibility for the care of souls in two parishes – Christ Church, Buncrana and St Mura’s in Fahan.
