Members of the Northern Ireland Gospel Music Club are looking forward to their next meeting on Friday 3rd July 2026, from 7-10pm. It will take place at Trinity Methodist Church and Community Venue, which is located at Ballymacoss Avenue, Lisburn BT28 2GX.
Looking forward to the night, which is themed: ‘Ladies of Gospel Music’, Alan Murphy told us:
“The Gospel Music Club is delighted to host a special ‘Ladies of Gospel Music’ evening.
Sharon Morrison is one of the best know Gospel singers in the province, having been the lead singer for many years with the Morrisons group. Sharon also conducts the Praise Hymn choir and is in constant demand for her solo ministry and is busy in her own church Dundonald Elim.
Joy McilWrath has an incredible voice, as the daughter of Pastor Sam Mcilwrath she has grown up in Gospel Music and is in constant demand.
Iris Evans has been a Gospel Music soloist for many years. She is married to Pastor Paul Evans and has sang in numerous churches and concerts over the years including recording numerous CD’s.
Rebekah McCartney is another wonderful Gospel singer, she is the daughter of Pastor Philip Berry and is one of our front singers at the GMC each month. Rebekah is in constant demand to sing in churches and mission halls throughout the country.
Nell Hire‘s Gospel Music journey is surpassed by no one. Nell has been singing the Gospel for 70 years and still has the most beautiful and distinctive voice anywhere. Nell has been accompanied by her best friend Vivien for most of her singing ministry and Vivien always starts Nell’s set with a Gospel poem.
All these ladies are returning to the GMC so we know what to expect. We are in for a real blessing. I have booked a front row seat! See you there.”
Admission has been set at £3 (optional) at the door – and includes Tea & Coffee all evening.
Choir practice begins at 6.15pm and new members are welcome.
