The Awaken 24/7 Prayer Room Initiative will return to Ballymena from Sunday 6th until Sunday 13th September 2026.
With the tagline for the event being ‘digging deeper in prayer for Ballymena and beyond’, this event will bring together several Ballymena churches and also from the surrounding area who will facilitate prayer rooms during the week.
It will begin with a Launch Worship Night on Sunday 6th September 2026 at Ballymena Methodist Church, which will get underway at 4.30pm.
One week later, Awaken 24/7 Prayer Rooms will conclude with a Thanksgiving Service. This is planned for First Ballymena Presbyterian Church at 6.30pm on the Sunday 13th.
A spokesperson for Awaken Prayer explained the background to the initiative and the heart behind it.
They said: “Since November 2024, when the PSNI asked the Church in the Ballymena district for help with the drug crisis there has been a growing movement of united prayer. You and your church are invited to join.
Awaken prayer rooms are distinct prayer rooms hosted by churches and other organisations across the Ballymena district
As we pray together, we will acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord over our town, region and the nations.”
