Crocus Special Needs Association Table Quiz in Galgorm Community Centre // Friday 26 April 2024

Members of the Crocus Special Needs Association would love to see everyone at their Table Quiz at Galgorm Community Centre on Friday 26th April 2024. The quiz will run from 7.30pm-10pm.

Crocus Chairperson, John Chaney, is excited to be hosting this event. He told us “It Is amazing that the Crocus Special Needs Organisation marked it’s 20th anniversary in September 2023 and we are pleased to be able to continue the celebrations with this Table Quiz which we hope will bring people together as well as raising awareness and funds for our work with these fantastic young people and those who care for them.”

“Crocus Special Needs Association is a Christian based voluntary organisation which values and supports people with disabilities, their families and carers, by demonstrating through word and deed God’s great love, compassion and care for everyone.”

It was founded in September 2003 by the late Anne Arnold from Ahoghill, County Antrim, to address the lack of facilities and services for young people with disabilities and their families and carers.
The name ‘crocus’ was derived from the scriptural verse Isaiah 35 v 1 which says “…the wilderness will rejoice and blossom, like the crocus, it will burst into bloom”. This verse is about hope and Anne felt that this was what the Association is to be about – giving hope to people of all ages who have a disability, their family and carers.
