McCaw family enjoy a blessed summer 2022 at the Belfast City Mission Hall in Mayo Street

Paul, Lorraine, Cameron, and Caleb McCaw have enjoyed a busy summer serving at the Belfast City Mission Hall in Mayo Street.
The family have sent us their latest ‘Prayer Letter’ to bring us up to date on their work there. It reads –

In these days of hardship and uncertainty, we have lots to give God thanks for. We had lovely family holidays in July and August, which were greatly appreciated. At the end of August, Cameron received excellent A-Level results and is now studying Mathematics at Stranmillis University.

It was great to have our Summer Kids Club back this year and it was really well attended. We had 32+ kids each evening from 6.30pm–8.00pm. On Monday and Wednesday we gathered in the hall to have fun, learn from God’s Word following our theme ‘Loved by the King’, make craft items, and eat biscuits!!! On Tuesday and Thursday our friends from Ambassadors Football NI came to Woodvale Muga pitch where we enjoyed lots of football games, a message from God’s word and treats. On the Friday evening we had Born and Raised Waffle cart come along and we invited all the parents to come with the children to get a free waffle and then hear the kids sing the songs and tell the Memory Verses they were taught during the week! This was very well attended by everyone which was really encouraging! A BIG thank you goes to all our friends who came along to help us serve at Summer Kids Club. We could not have done it without them!

Before our winter work began in Mayo Street, we put 1000 invites through 1000 doors in the area of our hall. On one side was information about all the activities we have in the hall and on the other was just to let the people know we are here to help!

A new winter’s work is now underway in Mayo Street. We have over 40 kids registered for Sunday School but they have not all attended as yet! 18 Mums and Young Ones on a Tuesday morning and 48 Kids on a Wednesday evening at Kids Club. This has been an encouraging start and we look forward to a great year together.

Sunday Services continue as normal, with our Harvest Service being on Sunday, 25th September at 6.00pm. Our guest speaker was Pastor Alan Dundas from Tobermore Baptist Church and our praise was led by our friends from Union Road Presbyterian Church, Magherafelt.
Prayer Meeting continues every Thursday from 7.00pm.

In finishing, can we please ask for prayer, especially for our Sunday Services. We really would love to see families join us on a regular basis, not just when the kids are taking part!
Thank you for your continued prayers & support in every way!
