The McDonald family from Chester, England will be coming to Drung parish in November 2021.
Drung Group of Churches in County Cavan consists of Ballyhaise Chuch, Larah Church, Lavey Church, Drung Church and Killoughter Church (Redhills).
Northern Ireland native, Tom McDonald will be a trainee minister within the parish, training and assisting the church Minister Nick Jones. Alongside the normal church meetings, Tom will undertake outreach, evangelism opportunities in the local area and next year Tom will travel 2 days to Cornhill Bible college in Belfast for part time studying.
Tom says “I am excited and looking forward to starting work within the Drung parish churches in Cavan. Its been difficult trying to get the right time to start due to Covid-19, but after much prayer as a family we felt November would be a good time for us to make the transition from Chester to Cavan. I’m really looking forward to meeting all the new faces and taking part in services and helping out in many various ways.
“I will be coming to Cavan with my wife Alison and my son Jacob. As a family we are looking forward to what the Lord has in store for us.
