McCaw’s prepare to celebrate Christmas at Mayo Street

Paul, Lorraine, Cameron and Caleb McCaw ask for your prayers as they prepare to celebrate Christmas at Mayo Street Mission Hall.
The family, who serve with the Belfast City Mission there, have sent us this latest report and set of prayer points covering their activities in the run-up to the 2018 festive season.

They write:

“It is through Christ that we have been given this love and burden for the people of the Mayo Street area. It is His love that complies us to knock doors, distribute food parcels, make tea, have meetings, visit people and serve others in whatever way we can.

Reflecting on the past year, where has it gone? It has been a tough year, a busy year and an encouraging year. Tough in that Paul’s health hasn’t been so good, but with some medication it has improved slightly. He is still awaiting some tests, so please pray he would get them soon. It has been busy with just the usual work of the hall, and it has been encouraging with lots more kids attending Mums And Young Ones & Kids Club. Even a few from the local area are coming on a regular basis to our Sunday evening service. It has also been encouraging to receive more adult help with our work.

Lots of events to pray for as the McCaw’s prepare to celebrate Christmas at Mayo Street

December is upon us so over the next few weeks we will be organising, entertaining and enjoying ourselves! Please pray for the following activities:-

TOY APPEAL – 3rd & 4th + 10th & 11th December 2018

SUNDAY SCHOOL CHRISTMAS SERVICE – 16th December 2018

CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT SERVICE – 23rd December 2018

On Sunday 23rd December at 4.00pm we will be holding a Carols by Candlelight Service. Invites will be distributed nearer the time, so please pray that folks in the area will attend to hear the gospel message this Christmas! You are ALL very welcome to come along!

For Mayo Street, 2019 is going to be our 130th Anniversary year. Various different activities have been planned all year, with a Mission from Sunday 14th April to Friday 19th April 2019 being the main event! Please start praying for this year that God would work in the lives of people in the Mayo Street area.

Finally, we just want to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and thank you for your continued prayerful and financial support. May God Bless you and your families in 2019.”
