Crocus Table Quiz – Friday 9th November 2018

Members of the Crocus Special Needs Association would love to see everyone at the Crocus Table Quiz on Friday 9th November 2018. The venue will be Galgorm Community Centre, 3 Raphael Way, Galgorm, Ballymena from 7:30pm-10:00pm.

Crocus Chairperson, John Chaney, is looking forward to this event.
He told us: “Join us for fun, refreshments and prizes – the entry cost is only £5 per person with a maximum of six people at each table.”

‘Crocus Special Needs Association is a Christian based voluntary organisation which values and supports people with disabilities, their families and carers, by demonstrating through word and deed God’s great love, compassion and care for everyone.’

It was founded in September 2003 by the late Anne Arnold from Ahoghill, County Antrim, to address the lack of facilities and services for young people with disabilities and their families and carers.
The name ‘Crocus’ was derived from the scriptural verse Isaiah 35 v 1 which says “…the wilderness will rejoice and blossom, like the crocus, it will burst into bloom”. This verse is about hope and Anne felt that this was what the Association is to be about – giving hope to people of all ages who have a disability, their family and carers.
