Ballymena Foodbank Hampers of Hope for Christmas 2017

Ballymena Foodbank Hampers of Hope is an exciting new initiative being launched for the Christmas period.

The volunteers at Ballymena Foodbank are really excited about their Christmas 2017 project – Hampers of Hope.

Revealing a little more about this brilliant initiative, Foodbank representative, Janice Colgan, told us:

“Last year we had the most amazing support with our Handbags of Hope. This project allowed us to bless many young ladies in care, in supported living, Woman’s Aid and in our local communities. This year we want to extend our reach to be able to bless men, woman, young people and young expectant mums that have little or no support.”

“Working alongside front-line agencies and referrals we were able to bless over 500 ladies and young people with the items donated by so many people and organisations. Some of the stories and feedback of the impact these gifts made was heart-breaking but heart-warming at the same time. It was also amazing to see so many schools, colleges, churches, businesses and organisations join together to help and support those in their local community at Christmas time. A time which for many is a very bleak and lonely time of the year.”

Your support would be greatly appreciated for Ballymena Foodbank Hampers of Hope.
