Christians Against Poverty Information Day

A successful Christians Against Poverty Information Day was held recently in Ballymena Baptist Church. Ballymena Baptist at 18 – 22 Mount Street is the centre for the local Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Ballymena team.

CAP is an award winning debt counselling charity. It has a proven track record of helping people in difficult financial circumstances. Also their services are offered free! They are much in demand as the levels of personal debt continue to grow across the nation.

Various organisations were invited to attend the Information Day to promote their agency and the work that they do. Also it gave them the opportunity to find out more about the work of CAP. Those in attendance included Slemish Credit Union, Samaritans, St Vincent de Paul, Active Listening, and Ballymena Credit Union.
CAP has the potential to be instrumental in helping people in our community escape the misery of uncontrolled debt and addiction.
