One of the Connect Ministries at Green Pastures Church, The Furniture Bank urgently needs new stock. It has been under enormous pressure in recent weeks and needs your unwanted furniture to stock up again.
There is an urgent need to replenish stock so that the project can keep up with the requests for help it receives. So they are asking for your help. Have you any good quality but unwanted or unneeded furniture you could donate?
Speaking on behalf of the Connect Ministries team, Janice Colgan told The Church Page.
“We are looking for the following items – sofas, tables and chairs and single and double beds. These must be in good condition. Unfortunately we are unable to take electrical goods”, she explains.
Volunteers from Connect Ministries are available on Mondays to pick up items that you may wish to donate.
If you donate your unwanted items to the Furniture Bank, you will be supporting front-line services within organisations like The Simon Community and Woman’s Aid and many others. Assisting them as they seek to provide for people in desperate need.
