Harvest Thanksgiving Services At First Ballymena

The Harvest Thanksgiving Services at First Ballymena Presbyterian Church will take place on Sunday, 9th October 2016 at 11.30am and 6.30pm respectively.

Morning Worship will be led by Rev William Sinclair, who recently celebrated ten years in the pulpit at Meetinghouse Lane. The evening service will be addressed by Mr Matthew Boyd, who recently became the congregation’s Assistant Minister. Previously, Matthew held the same position at Connor Presbyterian.
Matthew is also well-known to young people in Ballymena as the co-founder of the hugely popular and respected Spark outreach.
Welcoming him to First Ballymena, Stephen Lamont said: “We are delighted to have Matthew as part of our pastoral team at First Ballymena. He joins Rev Sinclair and our Senior Minister, Rev George Preston. Our present Assistant, David McMillan is awaiting the call from God to take up his ministry in a church which will be his first solo charge. David has been with us in First for the past three years.”

The Harvest Thanksgiving Services at First Ballymena Presbyterian on Sunday 9th October will include special praise items from the choir.

Revealing a little more about the harvest thanksgiving services, Stephen went on to say: “Our festival choir will be leading the praise under the guidance of our Musical Director, Paul Brush. They will be leading the congregation in a programme of special harvest music to praise God for the safe gathering in of the harvest.”
