Renowned US musician and evangelist Dr Marty Tharp visits Church of God Ballymena on Sunday 9th October 2016 to speak at Morning Worship. The service at their church on Fry’s Rd will commence at 11.30am.
Known and respected throughout the world, Marty has been in full-time ministry since 1960. Remarkably, he and his family have been actively involved in bringing musical ministry to the schools in the USA since 1969 and Northern Ireland since 1979.
Their free concerts in schools continue to be held in conjunction with their evangelistic crusades in churches in both countries.
Together, the Tharps have recorded countless albums including, ‘Joyful, Joyful’, ‘Living In The Favour Of God’ and ‘Talk About It.’
The simply unforgettable ‘I Love Jesus Better Than Ice Cream’ is a light-hearted song with an amazing message that has impacted young and not so young lives for decades.
In addition to his music ministry, Marty has also authored numerous books such as ‘A Bottle In The Smoke’, ‘Choices’ and ‘Divorce And Other Touchy Subjects.’
A noted academic, Dr Tharp also holds a BA, MA and no less than six doctorates.
For all of these reasons, the chance to hear him speak in person is an opportunity not to be missed.
