‘Be More Barnabas’ – EMF Spring Conference at Ballymoney Baptist Church // Saturday 31 May 2025
‘Be More Barnabas – Cultivating Christian Friendships in Gospel Work’, is the theme for the annual Spring conference organised by the European Mission Fellowship on Saturday 31st May 2025 at Ballymoney Baptist Church, 60 Ballymena Road, Ballymoney, BT53 7EZ from 10am-1.15pm.
Deep, meaningful friendships are not a luxury or an optional extra; they enable us to be truly human and authentically Christian. Yet, in today’s culture of radical individualism, many believers face loneliness and isolation.
Scripture says more about friendships than we often realise. It shows that genuine friendship like Barnabas and Paul enjoyed is not just valuable – it is a means of grace.
So how can we, including those in Gospel ministry, build strong, life-giving friendships? And how can we help each other to do that?
Speakers at the conference will include Edy Lopez and Marjha Chisari, (EMF Workers in Spain), Mihai Chisari, (EMF Worker in Moldova) and Nathan Hawthorne, (Minister, Ballyclare Reformed Presbyterian Church.) There will also be video input from Vaughan Roberts, (Rector, St. Ebbe’s Church, Oxford.
