Victory Praise young people support care leavers in Ballymena

Once again, the Reflector Youth group at Victory Praise Community Church, Ballymena are showing compassion to other young people who are leaving care by preparing hampers with food, toiletries and other essential items to help them as they transition to independent living.

Together, the young ‘Reflectors’ are working hard to collect the following items for each box:

  • Selection of fresh or tinned vegetables
  • Extra large bag of Pasta
  • Extra Large bag of Rice
  • Cooking Sauces
  • Cooking oil
  • Gravy granules
  • Tin foil
  • Tinned fruit
  • Jam
  • Tomato Ketchup
  • Christmas selection box
  • Selection of festive sweets
  • Mince Pies
  • Tinned Custard
  • Super noodles
  • Breakfast Cereal
  • Non-chilled fruit juice
  • Soft Drinks
  • Biscuits
  • Pringles
  • Tea Bags
  • Coffee
  • Instant Hot Chocolate
  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Shower Gel
  • Soap
  • Hand Wash
  • Face Cloths
  • Shampoo
  • Bleach
  • Kitchen Cleaner
  • Bathroom Cleaner
  • Cleaning Cloths
  • Tea Towels
  • Laundry Detergent
  • Washing Up Liquid

The young people are hoping to match last year’s collection for the Leaving Care project, which saw the largest ever number of items collected.

Are you willing to donate to Reflector Youth’s ‘Leaving Care’ project?

Anyone who would like to help them, can leave any of the above items at Victory Praise Community Church, which is located at the Pennybridge Industrial Estate, Ballymena before Sunday 12th December 2021.
If you unable to go shopping for the items in person but still want to get involved, you may leave a donation at the Church. Please mark all your donations ‘Leaving Care’ whether calling in person or online for the project.
