Place of Victory for All Nations launch Foodbank initiative

Members of Place of Victory For All Nations Church (PVN) in Belfast are opening a food bank in the Shaftesbury Square area on Thursday 27th May 2021 at 6pm until 8pm.

The facility will be located at 3-5 Bradbury Place, Belfast BT7 1RQ. It will be open twice a week on Thursday evenings from 6pm-8pm and on Saturday mornings from 10:30am through to 12noon.

It is open for referrals from organisations and churches and also for walk ins.

Angela Ifonlaja, who pastors Place of Victory alongside her husband, Chris, told The Church Page:

“I am the Program Manager for Bradbury Hub, which is our community space. In addition to the food bank, we also run a Saturday school which provides free Maths, English, Science & Computer coding classes for children aged 8-13 years who could do with some additional support.”

Pastor Angela added: “We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who’s been involved (in donation and/or service) in our preparations toward this very important initiative. God will continue to bless you as we continue to have global impact and local relevance in the community.
We would also like to give a big shout out to Poundland Lisburn Road and FareShare and Poundland, Park Centre for their generous donations towards our food bank, The National Lottery Community Fund for funding this project. May God bless you real good.
The food bank will open twice a week on Thursdays and Saturdays to everyone and if you or anyone you know would benefit from the food bank, please come along at the opening times.”
