The P Word Conference – Belfast Bible College

CARE and Naked Truth Ministries are running The P Word Conference at Belfast Bible College on Friday 20th October 2017. The College’s address is Glenburn House, Glenburn Road South, Dunmurry, Belfast BT17 9JP.

The P Word Conference aims to provide a practical Christian response to pornography for all leaders.

At the P Word Conference in Belfast Bible College you will have the opportunity to hear from the following speakers.

Ian Henderson – the founder of the Naked Truth Project & CEO of Visible Ministries.
He is a gifted communicator and speaks internationally about the issue of pornography.
He will be delivering a keynote address entitled “Breathe & Bones”

Bethany MacDonald is the Youth & Schools development worker for Naked Truth. She has had her own battle with pornography. She has years of experience talking about the issue of pornography with young people and regularly contributes to national media on the issue.

Tim Houston works on the Churches and Development team for CARE in Northern Ireland. He has invested in looking at what role the Christian faith plays in wider society and is passionate to see a united church with a united heart.

Paula Hall is a psychotherapist and author. She has been a therapist for over 20 years and has been specialising in sex and pornography addiction for nearly 15 years. Paula is widely recognised as the UK’s leading expert in the field of sex and pornography addiction. She frequently speaks in the media as well as training other professionals. She is founder of The Institute for Sex Addiction Training and is one of the founder trustees of ATSAC (Association for the Treatment of Sex Addiction & Compulsivity). Paula is a current board member of SASH (Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health) and in 2014 became Head of Recovery for the Naked Truth Project.
An exclusive pre-recording from Paula will be used in Belfast followed by a live Q&A via video conferencing.

Ruth Cooke serves as IJM’s Regional Development Executive for Ireland. They are aiming to fuel the global justice movement by drawing attention to issues of everyday violence including cybersex exploitation.

Alain Emerson is the Lead Pastor of Emmanuel Church in Lurgan and heads up 24/7 Prayer Northern Ireland.

Stephen Mayes is a worship leader, song writer and creative at RE:HOPE Belfast. He carries a prophetic voice and a deep desire for God’s presence. Stephen will be leading worship at the conference in Belfast.
