So what is this Intern Scheme and who can apply?
‘At High Kirk we offer and run a flourishing Intern Scheme. It provides 18 – 25 year olds with a one year practical placement to experience church ministry. To develop your God given gifts, to grow in your own faith and receive quality training. All as part of a large and dynamic pastoral team.
We expect our interns to have and be a positive influence within the areas they are involved. Also to be living their lives in a manner which reflects the teachings and values of Jesus. Those applying should be – A committed Christian | Passionate about people and the Kingdom | Willing to challenge themselves | Be open to learning and desiring to develop their gifts | Keen interest in exploring a variety of ministries and calling | Celebrating the ethos and vision of our church.’
What is available in the 2017-2018 Scheme?
‘We have 2 spaces available on the scheme for the incoming year. These will provide you with a number of opportunities to be involved across each of our main ministry areas. Youth & Family | Worship & Prayer | One Mission | Pastoral & Discipleship. This is ideal for anyone who has a desire to serve God, a heart for people and a willingness to learn from others. Anyone from within and outside our church family is welcome to apply. The Interns will be expected to become fully active in the life of High Kirk for the duration of the scheme.’
