A spokesperson for the Glasgow-based collective said: “Music is a wonderful and mysterious gift from God. It can often carry truth deeper into our souls than words alone.
We use music in church to respond to God’s unfailing goodness. To collectively affirm and remember what we hold dear, to encourage one another, and to express our new identity in Christ.
Singable folk melodies, poetry, biblical theology; these are the methods we love to use in our songs. We want to draw out what is best from both traditional hymn-writing and contemporary music styles and techniques”, they said.
