Can You Help Life-line Ministries Work In Kenya

Can you help Life-line Ministries work in Kenya? Have you any mobile phones, laptops or tablets which are working but you are not using anymore? Maybe you’ve upgraded and have no use for your old one. Life-line Ministries (Ireland) could make great use of these in their work in Kenya.

Life-line volunteer, Audrey Johnston explains more: “We are well equipped with clothes and toiletries, thanks to our supporters but we would appreciate mobile phones plus their chargers, unlocked if possible though not essential. We would also welcome laptops in working order with their charging leads.”
Audrey added: “Perhaps these seem like strange requests so let me explain. There is a good mobile phone network in Kenya but few landlines, indeed none in the rural areas in which we work. People travel long distances to school or work, either on foot or by public transport and road accidents are sadly common. A mobile phone can be a real blessing to summon help and contact family members.”
She went on to say, “We have some sponsored students in secondary and further education and a laptop is a great help to them in their studies. Pastors also have many uses for them. A basic laptop or tablet is more than adequate, so if people have upgraded and have no use for their old machine, someone in Kenya would be really grateful”

Life-line serves the people of the East African republic through evangelism, church planting, sponsorship and education. Since it was pioneered by Ballymena man, Wesley Kerr in April 2006, God provided Life-line with the resources to help many vulnerable people in the regions of Kitale and Kisumu. To date, thirteen Churches and six schools have been planted by Life-line.
A team of workers from the Ministry will again be in Kenya from 2nd until 25th August 2016 and they need your help.
