Prayer Time – July 2014

Each month here at the Church Page we want to share scripture, together with items for prayer and encouragement. Philippians 4 v6 says:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. “

God’s Word encourages us to pray in every situation and we would like to ask you to do just that for the following mission and outreach events taking place throughout July.

 SU Missions (throughout the Summer)

SU Mission, which you might know as CSSM, bring together children and young people from all over the country to celebrate God’s Good News through games, studying the Bible, drama, chats, craft and just getting to know each other.

Join in prayer for;

  • Good attendance at each of the missions.
  • The leaders of the various camps that they will connect well with the young people.
  • That the young people will listen to what’s being said and for many it will be a turning point in their lives as they accept Jesus as Saviour.
  • Favourable weather so that everyone can enjoy the whole experience of outdoor mission.

Keswick at Portstewart  (12th – 18th July)

Situated in its own grounds, in the beautiful coastal town of Portstewart, ‘Keswick at Portstewart’ has over the years remained faithful to ‘Bringing the Bible alive for the whole family’

Let’s pray for –

  • The speakers – Steve Casey from Liverpool’s Speeke Baptist Church will be the speaker for the opening weekend. Rev. John Woodside from Drogheda Presbyterian Church speaking at the midweek morning meetings and Belfast born Jeremy McQuoid, now pastor at Aberdeen’s Deeside Christian Fellowship, will be the midweek evening speaker.
  • 1000 seats, one purpose.  Life changing Bible teaching. Pray that lives will be changed at this year’s event as they hear the gospel.
  • For the whole team as they prepare for and take part in the convention – including all the committee members, the musicians, the technical team, those running the crèche, the children’s and young adult program leaders, those in charge of the bookshop and others as they bring this all together for another year. Pray that everyone will work well together as a team and will see lives transformed and God’s blessing in their own lives.

Thank you for praying for these great events. We want to use the power of the Internet to spread this message and bring people together in prayer so lets get the word out, please retweet this on twitter, share this blog post on Facebook to let others join together with us in prayer.
