Paul, Lorraine, Cameron and Caleb McCaw have enjoyed a busy summer at the Belfast City Mission’s Jersey Street Outreach Hub. They have sent the following Prayer Letter to keep you all up to date:
‘The work in Jersey Street Outreach Hub is going well. Since our last prayer letter another 2 ladies got saved and we have begun a ‘Bible Study’ on a Monday evening with 6 ladies attending most weeks. They are just so eager to learn more from God’s word and it is a real blessing to us all.
From this, we have also started a ‘Prayer Meeting’ every Thursday evening from 7.00pm. The ladies come along, but have not yet felt able to pray aloud, but there are always good chats about how they should be living their lives now that they are saved.
‘Holiday Bible Club’ went well in August with on average 25 kids attending each evening. A team from Union Road Presbyterian Church in Magherafelt lead this for us. It was great to have the help and see lots of children from the area come to hear about our God, who is ‘Out of this World!’
The day after the Holiday Bible Club finished, we took a ‘Family Day Trip’ to Portrush. This was kindly funded by Kells Presbyterian Church, and we would like to thank them most sincerely for the very generous gift.
Next week will see the commencement of our winters work.
‘Tots @ the Hub’ will begin on Tuesday morning from 10.30am – 12.00noon. It will be lovely to see the Mummy’s, Granny’s and babies back with us!
‘Jersey Juniors’ starts back on Wednesday evening from 7.00pm – 8.00pm. We have 22 kids registered so far which is great! We look forward to lots of fun with the kids and to sharing God’s word with them.
Our ‘Harvest Service’ will be on Sunday 19th October at 6.00pm. The guest speaker will be our friend Willis McDowell. It would be great to see a good attendance at this service and a warm invitation is sent to you all!
As a family, we have had a lovely summer, and we really appreciated our holidays. Caleb received good GCSE’s results and is now back to school studying for A Level’s and Cameron will be returning, next week, to his final year of University. (This is making me feel old!)
Thank you for your continued prayers & support in every way!
