Local writer and Hebrew teacher Roz Mitchell has published her second book Code X – Lost In Translation, available to buy on Amazon, bringing 356 pages of fascinating facts and insights into the Hebrew language of the Old Testament; including numerous examples of English words which are derived from the original Hebrew.
Roz’s first book Discovering Hebrew Gold was written during lockdown to address the need for a simple tool for church study groups. Roz now lectures in Bible Schools and church groups throughout Ireland, and online via Zoom – though she prefers the personal interaction of teaching in-person! To date, more than 400 copies of Discovering Hebrew Gold have sold worldwide and this new book Code X – Lost In Translation is sure to encourage more believers to search the Old Testament and discover treasure for themselves.
Roz is passionate about Hebrew. She studied Hebrew as part of her Bachelor of Divinity degree and realised that apart from books geared towards teaching Hebrew grammar, there are few resources available to bring an understanding of the wealth and colour of Hebrew to the normal ‘average’ believer.
The Hebrew alphabet is comprised of 22 hieroglyphics and when we begin to understand the significance of each letter then we can find the DNA of the original root words, furthermore, the rich insights will no doubt spark much discussion in Bible study groups for years to come. This book is full of new material, fresh revelation, and the multi-faceted nature of Hebrew study means that there is a sermon to be discovered on every level.
