Four new elders were ordained to the Kirk Session at Kells Presbyterian Church, Co Antrim on Sunday, 27th February 2022.
The four are pictured in the photograph below: (from left) – Roderick Frew, John Hughes, Rev Noel Mulholland (Moderator of Presbytery) Rev Brian Boyd, (Minister) Jonathan Reid and Sam Gibson.
It fell to Rev Brian Smyth minister of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Ahoghill, to preach a challenging and inspiring ‘charge’ to the incoming elders.
Speaking after the Service of Ordination, Rev Brian Boyd, told The Church Page:
“Each of the new elders are men with a very sincere and obvious love for the Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord. They are also men of deep personal integrity and Christian love for people.
“I wish them God’s richest blessing as they take up this new role and I know they will covet the prayers of God’s people.”
