Salvation Army and SVP thank Ballymena for its festive generosity

Members of the Salvation Army Ballymena Corps and the Saint Vincent De Paul would like to thank the people of Ballymena for their generosity in giving to their joint annual Christmas appeal during December 2019.

Thanks to the kindness of the Seven Towers residents, no less than 249 children received gifts at Christmas. The presents where donated by numerous individuals, churches, business and other organisations. Each one was gratefully received.

Doreen Armstrong, who manages the Salvation Army Shop in Ballymena told The Church Page:
“Every year, the need for donations to our joint appeal with SVP grows and it is only through the generosity of so many people in Ballymena and other towns that the Salvation Army is able to make a difference. To every single person, church and business who left a gift at one of the collection points I say thank you. Your support has changed Christmas for some of the most vulnerable people in society.”

“We also thank each of the organisations who provided drop of points for donations. As always it was a pleasure to link up with our friends from Saint Vincent De Paul as we packed and distributed gifts together.”
