Ladies Fellowship group established in Portglenone

A new ladies fellowship group established in Portglenone is intended to provide Christian fellowship for widowed ladies or those from broken marriages.
This collective will be known as LESS ONE (Ladies Ever Standing Strong on the One) and will meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 10.30am.
It is led by Angela Whyte, who lost her husband John suddenly in 2013. She received a direct promise from God afterwards based on Jeremiah 29, 43 11:
“For I know the plans I have for you’, declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and now to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

The group meets in 3:16 Café, which is owned by First Portglenone Presbyterian Church and located in the village’s Upper Main Street.

Angela commented: “As a group we would like to thank Rev. Albert Baxter and the Session at First Portglenone for use of 3:16.  We also express our appreciation to it’s caretaker, Mrs. Shirley Lowry, who opens up for us and makes sure we have heating.”

“We also thank God for bringing us together and for the speakers and singers who give up their time each month to bring us a worthwhile word from God”, she added.
‘LESS ONE’ is open to any lady who has lost her partner through death or some other reason. Parking is available in the Church car park opposite.
The next ladies fellowship group meeting will be on Tuesday, 2 February 2016.  The speaker will be Mrs. Joan Christie OBE.  The singer will be Mrs. Julia Watson from Upperlands.

Come and enjoy the now familiar ‘four Cs’, Chat, Chorus, Cake and Coffee.  At the end of February’s meeting there will be an opportunity to put forward ideas for future group meetings, outings and activities.  All ideas are welcome.
