Gospel Music Club Northern Ireland present Gentlemen of Country Gospel Music // Friday 7 August 2026

Members of the Gospel Music Club Northern Ireland are looking forward to their next meeting on Friday 7th August 2026 at 7pm.
Trinity Methodist Church and Community Venue, which is located at Ballymacoss Avenue, Lisburn BT28 2GX will host the event.
In direct contrast with last month’s theme (Ladies of Country Music) this event will be themed: ‘Gentlemen of Country Gospel Music.’

Alan Murphy, who organises the Music Club told us:
“This month we can look forward to hearing some of the best male voices in Irish country gospel music. Our lineup includes Bobby Abraham, Sam Purdy, Ivan McFerran and Gibson Young, not to mention Brian Matchett, John Walker and the brilliant Adam Vance.”

Alan added: “The normal backing band will also have a distinctly country sound with the addition of Dixie Heasley on lead guitar, Ivan McFerran on fiddle, and myself on Pedal Steel. The choir has been practising hard and leader Graham Murphy promises us some country Gospel classics. This is sure to be a popular evening. So many have been requesting a Country Gospel evening for such a long time. It could be a packed hall!”

Admission has been set at £3 (optional) at the door and includes tea & coffee all evening.
Choir practice begins at 6.15pm and new members are welcome.
