Evening of Worship at Maze Presbyterian Church, Lisburn // Saturday 25 April 2026

An evening of worship with Warren Smyth and Avoda supported by Eilidh Patterson will take place at Maze Presbyterian Church, Lisburn on Saturday 25th April 2026 – doors open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start.

Here is a little information about those who will be taking part:

Warren Smyth, who lives near Banbridge in County Down, is widely recognised and respected as one of Ireland’s finest Gospel music singers and radio presenters. With several critically acclaimed Country and Gospel albums to his name, Warren’s career has been marked by excellence, dedication, and a deep passion for sharing faith through music.
His achievements include being awarded Male Vocalist of the Year at the Country Music Ireland Awards and Country Music Radio Presenter of the Year at the NICMA Awards, recognising the success of his much-loved Keep It Country show on Downtown Radio, which he hosted for over a decade from 2002 to 2012. Today, Warren continues his broadcasting ministry as a volunteer presenter on Radio Cracker Ballymena, a station that recently celebrated its 30th anniversary and has raised over £2 million for overseas Christian charities.

The Birth of AVODA
In the autumn of 2021, Warren felt called to bring together a group of Christian musicians who shared a heart for worship and a passion for serving God with excellence. From that vision, AVODA was formed.
The name AVODA is a Hebrew word meaning Work, Worship, and Service, reflecting the band’s mission to honour God through music ministry. Together, these brothers in Christ seek to share the Good News of the Gospel across the UK and Ireland — working, worshipping, and serving God while giving Jesus all the praise, honour, and glory.
Warren’s favourite Bible verses, capture the heart of both his personal faith journey and the band’s ministry.
Proverbs 3:5–6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
Joshua 1:9, “Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
and Nehemiah 4:1, “Don’t be afraid of the enemy. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.”
