Breakfast Fundraiser for Radio Cracker and The Francina Foundation // Saturday 19th September 2026 from 9am

A Breakfast Fundraiser in support of Radio Cracker Ballymena and the Francina Foundation will take place on Saturday 19th September 2026 from 9:00am to 12:30pm at High Kirk Presbyterian Church on Thomas Street, Ballymena
A minimum donation of £5 is requested to cover costs.

Please plan to come along if you can to support these two charities who are working hard to bring hope and show God’s love to many across the world. Come and enjoy a delicious cooked breakfast while supporting Radio Cracker and The Francina Foundation – that’s a win win!

Telling us more about what they do, a spokesperson for Radio Cracker said:
“Our annual Christmas radio broadcast started in 1992, ran by volunteers raising money for charitable projects to benefit people and communities across the world who do not enjoy the same standard of life as we do.
Radio Cracker Ballymena now incorporates a shop selling a huge selection of pre-loved items and also many hand crafted items. We also organise several fundraising events throughout the year and all this is run by volunteers. All money that is raised each year get distributed to several charity projects.
Our longevity relies on the support of our volunteers and the generosity of businesses and people in the Ballymena area and beyond. We have raised over £1,800,00 since Radio Cracker Ballymena began in 1992.”

The Francina Foundation is a registered charity. Its website states: “Sometimes: you see such suffering, such poverty, such depravity, such loneliness that your heart breaks and you cannot stem the tears; Sometimes: you are left despairing at man’s inhumanity to their fellow man and wonder how we have got to such a place in our world; Sometimes: you realise that your faith, your values, your need to do something have prepared you ‘for such a time as this’.

It is in response to these, all too often, ‘sometimes’ that the Francina Foundation has developed its sense of vision and purpose for India. By working with our Indian partners we are starting to bring that relief from poverty, encourage educational attainment and develop sustainable long term facilities for those marginalised by society.
Sometimes: you just have to ‘do’ – and leave a legacy.
