Life Stories at Ballymena Elim with Rev Alistair Bates // Sunday 29th March 2026
Respected Minister, Theology Lecturer and Author, Rev Dr Alistair Bates will be at Ballymena Elim Pentecostal Church on Sunday 29th March 2026 at 6:30pm to share in the latest instalment of their Life Stories series. You are invited to hear his story.
Former minister of Scrabo (Newtownards) and Wellington (Ballymena) Presbyterian Churches, Alistair has recently taken up the position of MA Lead at the Belfast School of Theology.
In addition, Alastair has authored numerous books, ‘Trading Punches: – Fighting the World, Flesh and the Devil’, ‘Defiant Hope – How Jesus Dying Words Changed Everything’ and ‘Halloween – Happy Holidays or Dangerous Deception?’
Randalstown native, Alistair is also one of the Volunteer Lecturers at the Timeless Theological Academy in Ballymena.
A keen fan of boxing, Alistair is married to Hazel, and the couple are parents to two grown-up children, Joshua and Hannah and have recently become grandparents for the first time.
