New Year report 2022 from ‘Team McCaw’ at Mayo Street BCM Hall, Belfast

Paul, Lorraine, Cameron and Caleb McCaw were very busy over Christmas and New Year 2021-22 at the Belfast City Mission Hall in Mayo Street.
In their latest ‘prayer letter’, the family write:

‘On Friday 26th November 2021 our family was devastated by the loss of my dear Daddy (William McCallion). I am heartbroken but we praise God for His compassion and His faithfulness, because on Sunday 21st November my Daddy called for his minister and asked the Lord into his life. That has given us a real comfort and peace to know we will see him again one day in Heaven.

Even though we were going through a bereavement, Christmas activities were planned and had to go on. We had the BCM Christmas Appeal the first two Mondays and Tuesdays in December. This was very well supported again this year by churches and individuals throughout Northern Ireland.
Through this appeal we were able to provide all our children with Christmas presents and needy families with food hampers, and additional gift vouchers to help with Christmas.

On Saturday 11th December we held a Christmas Fair in Mayo Street for ‘Friends of the Cancer Centre.’ We raised over £800 which we will be handing over to the charity very soon.

Sunday School and Kids Club are back up and running, so on Saturday 11th December we took the kids, and their families, to Funky Monkeys at Cityside for an evening of fun!

On Sunday 12th December we had our Sunday School Christmas Service where the children took part and dressed up in Nativity wear. It was really well attended by all the kids and their families and friends. All the kids went home with a present and the parents and friends with a box of biscuits.

Our annual Carols by Candlelight Service was held on Sunday 19th December. We did a leaflet distribution for this service. We had a good attendance with a few new faces joining us. Everyone went home with a tube of sweets.

Thank you for your continued prayerful and financial support and may God Bless you and your families in 2022.
