'The Winding Path' Writing Workshop at Belfast Cathedral
Belfast Cathedral Writer in Residence Deirdre Cartmill, who is running another writing workshop.

The theme for the workshop is ‘The Winding Path’. Explore the Cathedral’s pathways, whether it’s walking among the hidden treasures of the ambulatory, stepping through the labyrinth, following the flow of the stained glass windows, uncovering the journeys beginning and the journeys ending, or the many pilgrims’ journeys remembered here. Reflect on how these pathways chime with the path you’re currently walking through life, and find out how to write from this deeper place.

There will be time set aside within the workshop to explore the Cathedral and its pathways and to be inspired by this beautiful space, its hidden corners and its atmosphere of peace and reflection.

There is also the potential for some of the work produced to be shared on the Cathedral’s website and across their social media.

This workshop will inspire, no matter what form you’re writing in – whether it’s poetry, prose or drama.

The cost is £15/£12, you decide what you can afford, and there will be free car parking at the Cathedral for attendees. Places are limited so book early to ensure your place!

Bookings are taken through admin@belfastcathedral.org or by calling the Cathedral on 028 9032 8332. Please visit the Cathedral website for our COVID safety regulations.
