The annual Ballymena area World Day of Prayer service will be held this year at All Saints Church, Broughshane Road, Ballymena on Friday 6th March 2020 at 8:15pm.
One member of the local clergy who is involved is Bishop Sarah Groves, Minister of Gracehill Moravian Church.
Talking about the upcoming service, Sarah told us: “For many years this was known as the Women’s World Day of Prayer but recently the name has changed to the World Day of Prayer.
“The World Day of Prayer is an international ecumenical Christian laywomen’s initiative. It is run under the motto ‘Informed Prayer and Prayerful Action’, and is celebrated annually in over 170 countries on the first Friday in March. This year the focus is on Zimbabwe.
“It would be wonderful if you could share this with your networks and encourage men, women and young people to attend. The women of Ballymena have been very faithful in organising this for many years and they would be so encouraged by support from us.”
