A new month and a new theme for our verse of the week for February – GOD’S PROMISES
In Deuteronomy 31 we read the story of Moses, who at this stage was 120 years old and coming to the end of his life and leadership. He was about to hand over the reins to Joshua. Here was what he said to Joshua and should also be a great encouragement to us, especially those in Christian leadership.
“Be strong and courageous, for you must go with this people into the land that the Lord swore to their forefathers to give them, and you must divide it among them as their inheritance.
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
