Friday 15th November 2019

BBC Radio 4’s Any Questions? will broadcast live from PCI Headquarters, Belfast on Friday 15th November 2019.

Any Questions? BBC Radio 4’s flagship current affairs discussion programme is returning to Northern Ireland and will be broadcast live from the Presbyterian Church in Ireland’s Assembly Buildings in Belfast on Friday 15th November 2019.

First aired in October 1948, the popular Friday night debate and discussion programme, which has an audience of around 1.5 million listeners, has been chaired for the past 30 years by Jonathan Dimbleby, one of the UK’s best-known journalists and broadcasters.

Looking forward to the live broadcast, Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev Trevor Gribben, said that he was delighted that the Church is able to host the programme. “Any Questions has a wide listening audience across the UK and further afield and has been, for many people, compelling Friday evening listening for over 70 years.

“Coming two weeks after 31st October, and what may or may not happen with regards to Brexit, it should be an interesting 45 minutes. I hope that everyone coming along, technicians, panellists and the audience, will feel very welcome,” he said.

Each week a panel of politicians and others in the public eye answer a number of unseen questions on topical issues that have been submitted by members of the audience on the day. The programme will be broadcast immediately after the 8pm news that evening.

Any Questions? is free to attend, but you do need to register.

Attending the live broadcast is free, however you will need to register via the PCI website here for your ticket. Audience members should arrive at 6:45pm and take their seat by 7:15pm. The warm-up begins at 7:30pm with the programme, broadcast live, at 8:02pm.

On the night the panelists will need questions from the audience. To make the best programme, please submit one or more questions – and be prepared to ask your question on air if it is selected.
