You are invited to come and join them at this special celebratory event. The Harvest Cream Tea is not only an opportunity to thank God for another successful harvest but is also part of High Kirk’s 250th anniversary celebrations. Two hundred and fifty years of serving and ministry in the Ballymena community, preaching the Gospel and encouraging many, many people over those years to grow as Christians. The congregation would love you to join with them on either of the two days as they celebrate this huge milestone in the church’s history.

The creative team at High Kirk will be very busy getting the church decorated for all the harvest celebrations taking place there. Displays of flowers, fruit, vegetables and more will be created. If you come along on either the 12th or 13th you will have an opportunity to browse around these displays. Take time to relax and chill out as you listen to live reflective music or have a chat and of course enjoy all that’s on offer at the Harvest Cream Tea.

High Kirk Church has undergone a recently completed extensive building programme. You will have an opportunity to see these improvements, especially the large welcome area including the café.

A spokeperson for High Kirk added, “A key aim of our building project has been to make our suite of buildings as open and welcoming as possible to our local community and anyone else who would like to come in to share with us as we worship the God who has shown his love for every one of us through the death of Jesus on the cross. Even in life’s hardest times, harvest provides an opportunity to pause and give thanks for God’s love and provision for our lives, so we want to take this opportunity to share the beauty of nature, made visible through the harvest displays in our buildings as part of our thankful celebrations of God’s faithfulness to this congregation throughout the past 250 years.”

All donations received at the two day Harvest Cream Tea will go towards the church building fund.
