Spark returns to the streets of Ballymena, Broughshane and Portglenone

Monday 29th July – Sunday 4th August 2019

Spark returns to the streets of Ballymena, Broughshane and Portglenone from 29th July until 4th August 2019!

‘Sparkers’ as they are affectionately known are a group of people aged 13+ from many different churches around Ballymena who want to show the love of Jesus in practical ways.

As usual, each day will begin with a time of worship and teaching at High Kirk Presbyterian Church on Thomas Street from 10:15am until noon. The task of leading praise will be in the hands of Lauren Hood and the amazing Spark band.
This year’s speakers will be Andy Lamberton who heads Exodus in the North West and Peter McClelland, Youth Worker at Wellington Presbyterian Church, Ballymena.

Spark returns to Ballymena for 2019 –

This year, teams will be based in the following areas:
• Ballee

From there, they will be involved in various outreach activities. For example, the Doury Road crew have organised a Tea Dance for Wednesday 31st July 2019, which will take place at High Kirk Presbyterian Church on Thomas Street, Ballymena from 2pm-4pm.

A member of the ever-busy Ballee team revealed some of their plans for the week:
“Our main events are our Worship evening on the Thursday at 7:30pm in Ballee Community Centre and our Character Hunt and BBQ on Friday evening at 7pm at the Green at the Shops! We have a kids’ club every day from 2.30-4.30pm with football masterclass on Tuesday and Sports Day on Thursday! We are leading the over 60’s club on Wednesday morning as well!”

Please pray for the leaders and the Spark 2019 teams as they prepare to show the love of Jesus to Ballymena and surrounding areas in a practical way. Pray for safety for the teams as they carry out a variety of jobs, run various events and clubs and much more. Pray for all those they will come into contact with, that they will be open to the Gospel message.
