Explaining why these roadshows are taking place, a spokesperson for Both Lives Matter told us:

“We believe that women deserve better than abortion and we know that together we can offer better!
Our claim that 100,000 people are alive today because of our laws is helping to change the conversation here in NI and in Westminster and Dublin. But this year, 2018, our “pro-both” message is even more important. We need to continue to speak out as pressure builds that could see our life-affirming laws change. There are some elements within GB who are obviously feeling emboldened to reach into what is a devolved issue in a devolved nation and impose their abortion legislation here, and in the south of Ireland, the upcoming Referendum could mean the loss of any legal recognition and protection for our unborn.”

They went on to ask:

“Will you stand with us and defend our law that protects the lives of women and unborn children? Will you join us and speak up for life-enabling services and a life-affirming culture that will continue to value both lives? We need to mobilise people who are passionate to advocate for better care in pregnancy crisis and safe-guard the current law which protects both women and unborn children here in the North.
Please join us at one of our roadshow events, because Both Lives Matter.”
