Belfast Cathedral Host BBC St Patrick’s Day Concert

Belfast Cathedral provided a stunning backdrop for the BBC St Patrick’s Day Concert which will be broadcast on St Patrick’s Night.
The concert was recorded on Tuesday night and was hosted by Lynette Fay. It will be broadcast simultaneously on BBC Two Northern Ireland and BBC Radio Ulster on Saturday 17th March 2018 at 9:00pm.

The show features the Ulster Orchestra, under the baton of conductor David Brophy. Guests include Beoga, Karl McGuckin, mezzo soprano Carolyn Dobbin. Also vocal group, Ardú, who performed with Brian Kennedy and exciting new talent, 19-year-old singer/songwriter, Roe.

Belfast Cathedral hosted the BBC St Patrick’s Day Concert which will be broadcast on St Patrick’s night.

Before Tuesday’s recording, producer, Feargal O’Kane, said:

“We are thrilled to be staging this concert in the scenic setting of St Anne’s Cathedral.”
