Farmers Unite for Blessed Time of Prayer
Over 100 farmers unite for a blessed time of prayer in Portballintrae.
Agricultural workers from all over North Antrim gathered for a hugely successful Time of Prayer and fellowship. It took place in Portballintrae Village Hall on Thursday 7th December 2017.
This was organised under the banner of ‘Farmers United, Praying Together, Making A Difference.’
Pictured at the event were speakers Victor Chestnutt and George Barkley. Also Graham Thompson, Pastor Billy Jones, Johnny and Cathy McCurdy from Farmers United committee.
In his address, Randalstown farmer, George Barkley spoke about baler twine and how the knot keeps the bales of hay together. He went to explain how we all need the Lord as the knot in our lives to save and sustain us.
Farmers unite for blessed time of prayer and fellowship at this challenging time for their community.
Speaking to The Church Page after the event, Pastor Billy Jones reflected:
“We had a blessed time of fellowship hearing about the challenges facing farmers and a time of prayer for the farming community. Over 100 farmers from The Causeway area and also the Ballymena & Buckna areas supported the evening.”
