Speaker From Linking Hope Jewellery At LESS ONE

This month’s special speaker will be Mrs. Claire Smith from Linking Hope Jewellery. Linking Hope is a company whose aim is to support vulnerable women in Uganda, Ecuador, India and Ethiopia.
Taken from their website, Linking Hope say this about the project. ‘It’s a place to shop, linking caring customers into ethical trading providing opportunity to empower women and families all over the world.
A place to share stories of life linking communities into stories of faith, hope and love. Helping people rise above their circumstances.

The shop is a fair-trade project which trades with social enterprises which have been setup in disadvantaged areas. The project aims to help people overcome the many trials they face due to poverty and war. To offer opportunities for dignified work and fair wages. Also to help the homeless, the orphans & the physically afflicted and those being shunned by society. Young girls being trafficked and women caught up in prostitution. Helping these people to find hope and provide for their families.

The December meeting of LESS ONE ladies group will welcome speaker Claire Smith of Linking Hope Jewellery. Tuesday 6th December 2016 from 10.30am to 12.30am at 3Sixteen café, Main Street, Portglenone.

Claire will be bringing along some samples of her jewellery for group members to see for themselves.
The group will also have plenty of time of fellowship over the now traditional four Cs. That’s cake, chat, chorus and coffee!
As usual, free parking is available in the car park at First Portglenone Presbyterian Church, opposite the café. The LESS ONE group members are once again grateful to the Church for use of the parking facilities and meeting venue.
