First Ballymena Antiques And Collectables Fair

First Ballymena Antiques and Collectables Fair will be on Saturday 5th November 2016. The Church will be holding their 4th Annual Antiques, Collectables, Fine Arts & Crafts fair in their church halls at Meetinghouse Lane in the town.  Doors open to the public at 10:30am and the fair will run until 5:00pm.

Top class Antiques & Collectables dealers and exhibitors from across the province will be in attendance at First Ballymena Antiques and Collectables Fair . These will include, in the main hall, Memory Lane Antiques from Ahoghill. Also Heather McCracken from Castlerock along with 20 other traders. They will be selling everything from antique jewellery to small furniture, clocks, fine porcelain and china. We will also have 15 stands in our Minor Hall selling handmade Arts & Crafts.

One of the biggest stands at this year’s fair will be well known local Artist Jacque McNeill. She specialises in water colours of farm animals and pet portraits. Jacque is a member of the Ulster Watercolour Society. She has had many successful exhibitions of her paintings in Belfast and at The Braid in Ballymena.

Up and coming artist Andrea McNeill who trades under the name of The Early Bird will also have her truly amazing and unique selection of Textile Art for sale. All the items are handmade by Andrea and are drawn using a sewing machine. Her masterpieces range from cartoon creations to pets, farm animals and birds. If you have never seen these items before then a visit to the fair is a must.

  • Billy Boal will have his usual selection of hand turned woodcraft bird boxes etc.
  • The unique Irish Wood Pens will also be in attendance.
  • There will be many other crafters selling linen, painted pots, handbags & pictures.
  • Handmade Christmas, greeting and birthday cards.
  • Home knitting, handmade jewellery, wall plaques and many other nic- naks.

This is a fair that has something for everyone young and old alike.
Tea, coffee & sandwiches and a selection of home baking. Also jams and other farm and cottage produce will be on sale at the church stand and coffee shop in the minor hall. All at a very reasonable price!
This is an ideal opportunity to come along and do a spot of Christmas shopping while supporting a good cause. Why not join us for a cup of tea or coffee and some light refreshments on the day.
