Raise The Roof Kids Choir

Raise the Roof kids choir is made up mostly of children from around the greater Ballymena area and directed by local musician Alyson Reid, who had a clear vision from God to form this choir. As well as having loads of fun, the choir has a very clear aim, and that is to raise money to give other children a hope and a future. Raise the Roof kids choir has grown and now approximately 50 children turn up for practices each week …. but there’s room for more!! In the new year Raise the Roof choir will be ready to welcome new members so look out for them as they will be popping into your schools and community groups in search of new faces.

Raise the Roof choir are currently in the middle of a huge fund raising campaign and are partnering with the Fields of Life charity to complete the dream of building a primary school in Uganda for vulnerable and marginalised children . So for many of the children, as well as all the singing, they’ve also been getting involved in all sorts of fund raising so this school can become a reality. Raise the Roof kids choir would love to come to your church to sing lots of lively upbeat songs and you can help them to raise some more funds for this really worthwhile project. Distance isn’t an object as they had a fantastic big yellow bus donated to them (they call it Doris!) and will travel. They were singing recently at St Anne’s Cathedral in Belfast, a very exciting night for everyone involved. Quite often they sing at the same event as Voice of Hope choir – an adult choir again directed by Alyson.
