Ballykeel Pentecostal Church is situated in Ballykeel 2 estate. You’ll find it if you pass the entrance to Tesco’s Superstore Ballymena, then continue straight on, passing Ballykeel 1 estate and the local primary school on your left. After the primary school there are two turns into the left both of which will bring you close to the church building.
The current emphasis of the church is on preparing the people of God for outreach and ministry by using and encouraging their giftings and talents wherever possible and training in character and practice for the better use of those gifts.
Here are some outreach ministries at Ballykeel Pentecostal Church;
- Aglow International Local Branch
The Ballymena Branch of Aglow International Ireland meets monthly at the church premises. This is an outreach event to women in the community as well as serving women of God. Contact Irene on 028 2565 6269 for more details.
- Weekly Coffee morning
The church is open most Thursday mornings from 10:30 – 12:30 for free tea and coffee for members of the local community, so if you’ve a few minutes to spare, call in any Thursday morning you’re passing the church for a chat and a cuppa.
- Christians Against Poverty (CAP)
The church is currently planning a number of training sessions to help local people with budgeting. This initiative is linked to the Christians Against Poverty (CAP) organisation. For more details about this or any of the events listed here please get in touch with the either Thomas or Irene on 028 2565 6269 or 07790 470348. You can also email Jinttodd@btinternet.com
- Campaigners and Youth
The Church has a growing Campaigners group catering for children aged between 4 and 18 years of age. This runs on a Tuesday nights and is attended by a large number of local children. There is also a Youth fellowship on Sunday nights and a Sunday School on Sunday mornings which are similarly attended by many of the local children and young people.
- Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme
The Church runs a Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme both for young people from the congregation and others from beyond the congregation. The scheme is heavily subsidised so as to make the Scheme available to those who might not otherwise have access to it. If you’re from the Ballykeel area and would like your children to benefit from being involved in the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme get in touch with Thomas or Irene on 028 2565 6269 or 07790 470348.
Ballykeel Pentecostal Church seeks to serve believers by encouraging and equipping them to do the work of God wherever that work may be and whatever that work is and also to reach out to the local community with the Gospel of Christ.
