Radio Cracker 2018 broadcast begins 27th November

Radio Cracker will soon be back on air for their 2018 broadcast. The charity radio station, based in Ballymena, will go on air from 27th November until Christmas Eve. You will be able to pick them up on 107.6FM if you live in the greater Ballymena area or listen online anywhere else in the world!

Radio Cracker Gospel Concert

As well as the radio station, Radio Cracker organise several fundraising events throughout the year. Coming up next is the very popular Gospel Concert. It takes place on Friday 16th November 2018 at 7:45pm in High Kirk Church, Ballymena. This year the concert features Live Issue and friends, Warren Smyth, Billy McFarland, Kate Weir and Cornerstone.

Their annual Carol Service will take place in Montgomerys Restaurant, Ballymoney Street, Ballymena on Sunday 9th December at 8:15pm. Everyone welcome.

Radio Cracker Shop

The Radio Cracker Shop will be open this year at 20 Greenvale Street, Ballymena. The shop plays a tremendous part in their fundraising efforts and is staffed by volunteers. All the proceeds from the shop each year go to the various projects supported by Radio Cracker. So far over £1.5 million has been raised – a fantastic total! So if you are in the Ballymena area, please call at the shop and support them with this year’s fundraising.

Who are Radio Cracker supporting this year?

Eight projects are going to benefit from the funds raised in this year’s effort. They are –

  1. Lifeline Ministries – building a classroom in Kenya
  2. Second Sight – to restore sight to 500 people in India
  3. E3 Initiative – to build a classroom in Zambia
  4. Kids4School – to build a dormitory at their school in Tanzania
  5. Spudbear Ministries – to supply talking bears in Laos
  6. Bread – to supply water tanks in Kenya
  7. EMMS International – to repair dilapidated healthcare centres in Malawi
  8. Care for Cambodia – to extend their chicken farm in Cambodia
