Here are the details of two upcoming events at Belfast Cathedral.

Bernstein at 100 – screening of concert film

On Wednesday 17th October, 2018, Belfast Cathedral and Belfast International Arts Festival invite you to experience Leonard Bernstein’s finest concert film in an immersive screening at St Anne’s Cathedral to celebrate #BernsteinAt100.

Directed by Humphrey Burton at Ely Cathedral in Cambridge during August 1973, this incredible film showcases Bernstein and Mahler at their best.
Show-stopping performances from the London Symphony Orchestra, Edinburgh Festival Chorus with Dame Janet Baker and Sheila Armstrong, along with Bernstein’s passionate conducting will make this an unforgettable experience.
The film features a specially filmed video introduction by Humphrey Burton.

Signed copies of Humphrey Burton’s biography on Leonard Bernstein and various Bernstein CD recordings will be available for purchase at the Cathedral shop.
The performance begins at 7.30pm.

The Wonderful Winter Fair at Belfast Cathedral.

Frock Around The Clock will be returning to Belfast Cathedral on Saturday 3rd November, 2018 for The Wonderful Winter Fair.
This event will feature around 80 exhibitors, selling beautiful and original handmade and vintage treasures as well as holistic products and services.

A visit to The Wonderful Winter Fair will not only give you a chance to get ahead with your Christmas shopping, but you can also take an audio tour of the Cathedral which is included in the special admission cost of £3.
Admission to visitors outside of services is normally £5 but this will be reduced to £3 on the day of the event and will include access to the fair and all parts of the Cathedral open to the public.

All proceeds from the admission fee will go to Belfast Cathedral, so you will be supporting the mission and ministry of this wonderful building in the heart of the city as you browse and shop.
