Celebrate Recovery Ballymena

Celebrate Recovery Ballymena is part of a much wider recovery programme which helps people recover from the ‘hurts, habits and hang-ups’ that rob them of quality life. The Ballymena Celebrate Recovery group meets in the Welcome Centre, Ballyloughan Church, 88 Doury Rd, Ballymena on Tuesdays from 10am to 12 noon.

Celebrate Recovery is an internationally recognised programme running for over 10 years in the UK. It covers topics such as depression, debt, marriage difficulties, addiction, fear, anger, insecurity and others which can wreak havoc in people’s lives. The Ballymena programme is run by volunteers who have each overcome their own hurts, habits or hang-ups. If issues like these are affecting your quality of life or someone you know and you would like someone to talk to and take the first steps on the road to recovery you will be warmly welcomed by the team at Ballyloughan. You don’t have to book a place or join at a specific time; you can simply turn up on Tuesday mornings at 10am.

A typical meeting will begin by a 10 minute worship time, then you will have some time to socialise both at the beginning and end of each meeting and have some light refreshments. Heather, one of the volunteers says “Once a month we have a big fried breakfast and hear testimony of how God really has and is changing lives! There will be a large group teaching time based on one of the 12 steps set out in the programme and the rest of the time will be spent in small groups. The small groups give you a safe place to share your issues in confidence. They will be led by someone who has already completed the programme and understands the process. You will have opportunity to find partners to help and encourage you here. The programme doesn’t offer any professional or clinical advice.”

Here’s a comment from someone whose life has been changed for the better after attending a similar course. “Before Celebrate Recovery I was paralysed with guilt, shame condemnation and self-hatred. Throughout the year I have addressed all these issues and others that God has revealed to me – there has been so much grace and healing!”

So no matter what life’s throwing at you now, there is hope! Celebrate Recovery is a Christian based support group, specifically designed so people can be helped to take steps to deal with the hurts, habits or hang-ups in their lives, and to recover a life of freedom and peace as God intended us to know. Celebrate Recovery in Ballymena encourages you to take the first steps to a happier and joyful life through having a strong personal relationship with God, because with God no hurt is beyond healing, no habit is beyond help and no hang-up is beyond hope.
